Various projects breathe life into Lineart. They are set up in cooperation with gallerists and can be found in every remote corner of the Flanders Expo Hall. These stands attract the attention of visitors and imbue the fair with added dynamism.
Entrance Marker
Every year, one artist is chosen to “welcome” the visitors. The identity of the artist in question is a well kept secret up to the opening of the fair. Who will surprise the visitors when they arrive this time, after Koen Vanmechelen’s Unicorn? If you wish to have one of your artists considered for the Entrance Marker this year, tick the box of your choice on the registration form.
Belgium Calling
Do you know a Belgian artist who, in your opinion, deserves a one-man show? Lineart offers you the possibility to feature him or her thanks to “Belgium Calling”. In such a case, you apply for an extra 16 m² stand, near or opposite your own stand, devoted fully to the artist of your choice.
“Showcases” & “Specials”
Showcases are small exhibitions with a specific theme thought up by a gallerist in close cooperation with a museum curator. The artworks shown are of museum quality, but are for sale.
The showcases for Lineart 2010 are devoted to:
- Ethnic art
- Art before 1945
- Art after 1945
- Art after 1968
- Hommage
- Design
The “Specials” are based on the same principle as the “Showcases” (small exhibitions with works of museum quality, thought up by a gallerist), but they focus on an internationally famous artist. If you wish to organise such a mini exhibition, tick the relevant box in the registration form.
“Focus op... Singapore”
After Chinese art, Lineart this year focuses on artworks from Singapore, exhibited by gallerists from Singapore and from other countries.
